There is a perception about our Bollywood divas that they look gorgeous only when they are decked up. But it seems like the actresses have decided to change this perception of people. Now many Bollywood A-listers prefer to step out of their homes without make-up. These actresses now don’t even shy away from doing de-glam roles that demand no make-up look.

Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif, Kareen Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and many other leading ladies of Bollywood have been spotted at various public events without or minimal make-up. In fact, Sonam Kapoor will be seen doing an entire film without make-up.

Aishwarya Rai spotted backstage at TOIFA

Aishwarya Rai spotted backstage at TOIFA

Who doesn’t like to be clicked with the lady who was, and arguably still is, one of the most beautiful women in the world. So no surprise that at TOIFA in Vancouver, the make-up artist Daniel Bauer grabbed the chance for a few mugshots with the Bollywood beauty.

Daniel is by no means a fresher in clicking himself with Ash. Time and again he’s been sharing online the images of himself with the Bollywood stunner. The latest to emerge are the backstage images at the just held Time Of India Film Awards (TOIFA) in Vancouver, where Aishwarya Rai walked the red carpet with hubby Abhishek Bachchan.

Daniel Bauer did Ash’s make-up before she stepped on the red carpet.

“Ready for the red carpet ..” Bauer tweeted and shared a photo of Aishwarya in a Sabyasachi creation.

Then he did her make-up before she performed live on stage to songs like ‘Khwaja mere Khawaja’ (from Jodhaa Akbar) and the title track from Dhoom 2

Abhishek Bachchan, who won the best actor comic award Saturday at the TOIFA for his funny role in “Bol Bachchan”, dedicated it to wife Aishwarya Rai and also thanked the entire cast and crew of the film for believing in him.
“‘Bol Bachchan’ is very, very special film to me and I stand here in front of you humbly receiving the award,” said Abhishek and thanked the film’s director Rohit Shetty and co-star Ajay Devgn for “having faith in me”.
Apart from the film’s cast and crew, the 37-year-old also made a special mention of his actress wife Aishwayra Rai in the acceptance speech Saturday.
“I would like to thank my family for firstly having me because things wouldn’t have worked without that. I really owe this to Aishwarya and the love and support she has given me. She makes me the person that I am,” said the actor after winning the trophy at the first edition of (TOIFA) Times of India Film awards 2013.
Abhishek, who also performed at the event, said it was a long due gig for his fans in the city.
He said: “Almost five years ago me and my family were scheduled to perform in Vancouver for the Unforgettable tour (in 2008). Unfortunately, the show in Vancouver got cancelled and I promised I will make it up to you and I hope that was a bit of a payback. And I promise you next time I won’t only bring Aishwarya, I will bring dad (Amitabh Bachchan) as well,” he said.
“But Shiamak, you will have to choreograph it,” said the 37-year-old, whose act was choreographed by Indian Contemporary Dance choreographer Shiamak Davar.
He later called up Krushna, his co-star from “Bol Bachchan”, and handed over the award to him saying, “you deserve this”. – IANS

Aishwarya Rai to make a comeback with Shahrukh Khan?

Aishwarya Rai to make a comeback with Shahrukh Khan?

While Aishwarya Rai is busy with her motherly duties towards Aaradhya Bachchan, her fans are agog to hear the news of her comeback.

Well, there’s honestly been no dearth of stories announcing Ash’s comeback to silver screen. Just two weeks back, there was much noise about Aishwarya Rai under consideration for a role opposite the 25-year-old Varun Dhawan in a film to be directed by Sriram Raghavan. However, we are yet to hear of any progress on that front.

Now, we learn that Farah Khan is eager to rope in Aishwarya for her film Happy New Year that stars Shahrukh Khan in the lead role.

It’s a dream project of both Farah and Shahrukh and has been talked about for years now, without any signs of it materializing, albeit. However, that’s gonna change soon, it seems, for Farah Khan is reportedly intent on seeing Happy New Year through this time and is also excited about the prospect of teaming up with Shahrukh Khan again after her falling-out and subsequent make up with the star.

But the big question is: will Aishwarya Rai give her nod to the film? Given that the 39-year-old beauty hasn’t ruled out a return to Bollywood, this one looks like a plum project tailor made for her comeback to the silver screen. Little Aaradhya too is more than a year old now and that might prod the lovely mom to squeeze out just enough time for a movie commitment.

Presently, Aishwarya Rai is in Vancouver for TOIFA and could not be reached for comment.

Aishwarya Rai At TOIFA Vancouver: What She Should Do In The City

Aishwarya Rai

One of Bollywood’s most talked-about couples, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, have arrived in Vancouver.
The superstar couple, along with their daughter Aaradhya, were spotted at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport en route to Vancouver on Monday, reports Vancouver Desi. They’re visiting the Lower Mainland this week to help kick off British Columbia’s inaugural Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA).
The Bachchans have a few days to enjoy Vancouver before they’re expected to take the stage at BC Place on Saturday. Aishwarya’s much anticipated appearance at the awards will be her first overseas performance since she gave birth to her daughter in 2011.
While we’re fairly certain Bollywood’s first family will be chaperoned around town by an elite security detail, we have a few recommendations for the Bachchans to get the most of the city during their short stay.
South Granville's Miraj Hammam Spa is worth a visit for luxurious massage to help melt away stress and jet lag. Visiting the dolphins and otters at the Vancouver Aquarium would be a great place to take little Aaradhya. For dinner, Yaletown's Blue Water Cafe is definitely worth a visit to fully enjoy West Coast seafood at its finest.
The B.C. government has contributed $11 million towards the three-day event. Premier Christy Clark has touted the awards as an opportunity to strengthen the province’s ties to India.
TOIFA events officially start on April 4 and will end on April 6 with an awards gala at BC Place.
